Region: Barossa Valley

The RunRig has drawn comparison with the beautifully fragrant & tautly structured wines produced from the slopes of the Northern Rhne Valley's Appellation of Cte Rtie.

Review
Strong colour, albeit with some development; an extremely complex bouquet, with black fruits, leather, tar and cedar dominant, the full-bodied palate adding fruitcake and mocha; the tannins are in balance, which is a blessing. Shiraz/Viogner.
James Halliday, 95 points.

Typically sumptuous, this exotically spiced and luscious red is wild, floral and musky, with a heady, briary bouquet of charcuterie meats, raisins, dark plums and blackberries backed by nuances of cassis, cloves, cinnamon and five spice, over suggestions of cherry kernel and port. It's deeply concentrated, with dense flavours of blackberries, blueberries, plums and minerals framed by dusty tannins and revealing undertones of mineral, slate and dark chilli chocolate. It finishes strong and savoury.
Jeremy Oliver, 94 points.
